COMMUNION CONFESSION

Years ago I read the scripture where Jesus states that He is the bread of life. I also read the scripture of the Lord’s Prayer where Jesus said we should pray, “Give us this day our daily bread. The Apostle Paul wrote pertaining to the communion table, “As often as you do this, do it in remembrance of me.

John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

48 I am that bread of life.

Matt 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

1 Cor 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

24 And when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

As I thought about these scriptures, I thought how often do I want my daily bread provided for me through Jesus? How often do I want to remember all that Jesus did for me through His birth, His life, His death and His resurrection? I came to the conclusion that “daily” would seem to be rational! So I came up with a communion confession guideline, which I pray at the beginning of each day. I encourage everyone to use this communion confession pattern or develop one that better fits you.

Heavenly Father I thank you that you love me.

I thank you that you chose to love me based on yourself and not based on me.

I thank you that you chose to adopt me into your family and give me a full inheritance on the earth through the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank you that you chose to become my God.

I thank you that you chose to become my Father.

I thank you that you chose to become my provider.

I thank you that you are a good God, you are a good Father and you are a good provider.

I thank you Lord Jesus that you were willing to lay down your heavenly wealth and power and come to the earth as a man for the purpose of destroying the works of the Devil.

I thank you that you were successful in that you defeated the Devil. You made a show of him openly triumphing over him spoiling principalities and powers. I thank you that you have given me authority over all the power of the enemy so that nothing shall by any means hurt me.

I thank you that you bore in your own body on the tree all of my sin, all of my sickness, all of my disease, all of my deformities, all my infirmities, all my feebleness, all of my weakness all of my mishaps, all of my calamities, premature death and the curse of the Law.

Lord Jesus on the authority of the sacrifice of your pure, innocent, holy and sinless body on my behalf, I decree cell therapy for every cell in my body and I decree health and wholeness in every vital organ of my body.

As you commanded to do this in remembrance of you, I partake of this element of bread, which represents your body sacrificed for me and I discern your sacrificed body to be the legal authority for my healing, health, wholeness, soundness, preservation, safety, peace, prosperity and deliverance from temporal evil, all of which you provided for me through your grace.

(I take the element of bread)

I thank you Lord Jesus that you chose to shed your innocent blood for the remission of my sins and I thank you that your blood is also the blood ratification of the New Covenant.

I thank you that your Word says that if I confess my sins that you are faithful and just to forgive me of my sins and to cleanse me by the blood of Jesus from all unrighteousness.

I confess my sins of the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life.

(I confess known sins)

As you commanded to do this in remembrance of you, I take this juice to represent your blood, which was shed for me.

(I take the element of juice)

I thank you Lord that you have given me authority over all the power of the enemy and therefore I cancel and call null and void all the plans, which the Devil has planned for this day, over me and my family and the extended members of my family and over all of our possessions. I decree the good plans of the Lord and His will to be the portion in my life this day and in the life of my family and in the life of the extended members of my family and over all of our possessions in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I forbid any retaliation by the kingdom of darkness against myself, or any of my family members, or our possessions as we serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords in Spirit and Truth.

Grace and Peace multiplied in the name of Jesus.
