For Jesus to be the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of man, He would be required to fulfill the Passover Lamb ordinance as spoken in the Old Testament.
Â
Exod 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in (between) the evening(s).
Â
On the 14th in the evening, Jesus ate the preparation meal with His disciples. He was taken that night and all the mock trials happened that night. Jesus was placed on the cross that morning and He died before the evening of the 15th. Jesus was killed between the evenings on the 14th. The following chart is the timeline burial to resurrection of Jesus.
Grace and Peace multiplied in the name of Jesus.Â
